Michael Haugh

Assistant Coach: 2031 Select Boys

I come from a big family and I am one of 6 kids. I also have 3 beautiful kids of my own; 2 boys and 1 girl.

I ran track and varsity cross country all 4 years in High School, and I completed the Houston Marathon in 2000, 2001 & 2002.

I also played recreational league basketball, soccer and swim team each year.

Coaching and development for youth to high school has always been something I have wanted to pursue. Sports has always been and still is a huge part of my life and now my kids lives as well. My Dad coached all his kids throughout my entire life, and taught us the similarities of life and sports and how to integrate that into our lives.

I believe that sports teaches kids discipline, how to be part of a team and the fine skills in each particular sport.

I have followed Basketball my entire life. One of my brothers played for Division II Basketball at Arkansas-Monticello in college and watching him play while I was growing up inspired me to want to play and coach. I have been coaching youth recreational leagues for the past few years and would like to pursue more coaching opportunities.
